Meet Mama Francina
Mama Francina recently explained - “Before coming to The Fold I was a care-giver at a clinic, and was in a very dark place in my life. But at The Fold, I realized that God is with me, and I came to know Him so much more. I now live in the light of the Lord.” She has been a house mom, and a spiritual warrior, at our children’s home, for the last 8 years. She also added, “The children are also coming from horrible dark places. But God’s light reaches their hearts, and they can see a better future for themselves, because they know that God is always with them. This is a holy place and so it is the best place for them!” Her passion is clearly encouraging the children to fall in love with Jesus!
But her story is just one of many lives being impacted at The Fold. In South Africa, countless children feel hopeless. They live in extreme poverty, deal with horrific abuse, and have limited access to education.
It breaks our heart, it breaks your heart, and it breaks God’s heart.
We rescue children, offer shelter, and provide a biblically based education, resulting in 35 vulnerable children having access to a safe home, an academically excellent school, and an introduction to Jesus, giving them hope for today and eternity.
The work we do wouldn’t be possible without you. And we know the work will continue to grow as we work together to meet the need.
We want Mama Francina to continue to pour into more children’s lives, so they receive support and encouragement in a stable, loving environment, and are able to thrive, the way God created them to.

Being a child in South Africa can be traumatic, stepping in to help them is challenging. But, we can’t ignore this problem just because it’s hard work.
If we ignore it, research tells us prisons will be fuller, human trafficking will increase and addictions will be more rampant.
